DDG says YouTubers and streamers make more money than rappers: ‘It’s not even over’

While many people have dreams of becoming a star through a career in music, DDG prefer a more profitable path to success: streaming and video creation!
Rapper who started as a YouTube content creator and keep uploading on the platform, spoke on the subject via Twitter on Tuesday.
Seemingly unprovoked, DDG made a comparison between how much he earns as a rapper and how much he earns through YouTube. Specifically, he shared that YouTubers and live streamers “make more money than rappers” and he added that “it’s not even close.”
ngl.. youtuber/streamer earns more than rapper and it’s not even equal

Twitter Discussing the DDG . Statement
As is the case with situations like these, people quickly start calling online. However, instead of ripping off DDG, many people agree with his statement.

I said this. When my industry friends started talking bad about me, I questioned why anyone would want to be a rapper. Some people would be better off just going to college and becoming a dentist or something. https://t.co/zdkGfEro2Y

In large part, the reason behind the fact that musicians are often indebted to their label.
Duhh they don’t owe labels for everything https://t.co/JIXMZZtrKM

this is true because most rappers don’t see all of their money, most of that money goes back to their music above all, they spent all that money maintaining appearances.

Composer Cochise also agrees with DDG’s statement. In fact, the “Hatchback” artist even revealed that he has expressed similar sentiments “for years.”
I HAVE BEEN SAYING THIS IN THE YEARS

Many YouTubers and Twitch streamers also joined the conversation, including Mr. Beast, KSI and Stable Ronaldo.

YouTube/Streaming = the most money
Music = most respected orthodox wisdom
Boxing = the wisest online respect– ksi (@KSI) December 7, 2022
youtubers/streamers connect better with their audience then artists when working with them and I think that leads to more dollars / keeping up with daily trends / ideas
– FaZe Ronaldo (@StableRonaldo) December 6, 2022
Despite the broad consensus, it is also said that the comparison depends on how prominent the rapper is.
Eh, I mean the top rappers make more money, but more than your average rapper, yeah

I feel like he wouldn’t say this if he saw success as a rapper. ♂️ https://t.co/mhShs9AKoi

I disagree, An established rapper in the industry makes more money than an established YouTuber

Others questioned why, if what he said was true, DDG would continue to pursue music when he could be fully committed to YouTube. However, the answer is simple: “passion for it and another income.”
Passion for it and other income lol?
– Brandon Samuels (@BSHD_Unity) December 6, 2022
Not everything thrives on money lol. He absolutely just has a passion for it

He says what he says!
Despite what people may have to say, DDG doubled down on its comment with a follow-up tweet.
“I’m not arguing with me n ***a I’m richer.. lol you get it lol man.”

DDG is still stirring up the conversation on social media
This situation happened shortly after DDG became the talk of the Twitter timeline for sharing his “real voice”.
Like Shade room previously reported, the funny moment went down in an appearance on Dope as usual podcast and he wowed both the host and Twitter users!
