DDG criticizes Joe Budden for highlighting his breakup with Halle Bailey


Chile! DDG shared some bitter applause for Joe Budden on Saturday (October 5). The streamer’s criticism follows comments made by Budden on his podcast about DDG and Halle Baileyfarewell.

As previously reported, DDG announced the breakup between him and Halle on Thursday (October 3) via Instagram Stories. He assured fans that they are still close friends and confirmed that the decision to break up was mutual. However, Halle has yet to publicly confirm or deny the life update. Meanwhile, her alleged ex-boyfriend and her son’s father, halohas gone viral at least twice since the announcement.

Here’s what Joey said on his Podcast

During a recent episode of his podcast, Budden shared that he asked himself the question “what the heck is DDG” for a hot minute. Additionally, Joey questions why he “has to care what he thinks about anything.” After another person tried to explain the streamer’s relevance as a rapper, Joe interjected and said he was “glad” about the breakup.

“They broke up, so I can’t keep seeing this fucking name attached to this girl’s name, and I don’t know him independently, and for me, that’s important based on on their names, their merits and what they have done.”

Joe Budden made it clear that he’s not too familiar with Halle Bailey either, saying he’s not a match for the former couple. However, Joe says that DDG’s public engagement with Halle has always been in the pursuit of influence.

“Every time I see his name, it’s associated with hers, and it’s usually in a power-chaser way. So that made me look at him in a different way, and hopefully I’ll look at him less now that they’ve broken up,” Joe Budden talks about DDG.

DDG takes issue with Joe Budden over Podcast comments

In response to Joe Budden little shadeDDG appears on X (formerly Twitter). The streamer begins with Share screenshots of Joe’s ‘Pump It Up’ RIAA compared to his RIAA across four songs. Additionally, he included a screenshot of Joe’s age, which as of August 31, was 44. In his caption, DDG wrote: “’Pump It Up’ went gold after 20 years old b***h. @Joe Budden I support you.”

“I feel uncomfortable when girls say that because I’m used to it. It’s all love. But un**** smart platforms will get a quick response,” he added in a separate post.

The third post weaponized Joe Budden’s age for a second time and mentioned Joe Budden’s 23-year-old son, Trey. He tagged Joey in the first and third posts.

“N***a has MAXIMUM 30 years of life left and is talking about relationships with people the same age as the son you are taking care of. I hope you forgot to take your magnesium today, old man.”

An hour after DDG shared his first clap, Joey quoted the post and replied: “Laugh.” in one Second separate posthe wrote, “I love this place, laugh out loud.”

What else has Streamer said so far?

It’s unclear why and when DDG and Halle Bailey reportedly decided to end their relationship. ONE Leaked post from his supposedly Close friends on Instagram Stories stating that they broke up due to “personal reasons”.

Additionally, the post attacked Bailey’s supposed level of activity regarding intimacy. DDG then rejected create a post on X.

Meanwhile, a viral video from his most recent ‘No Ordinary Podcast’ appears to provide some insight straight from the source. In the clip, he talks about the advice he gave his younger self about romantic relationships. Interestingly, the episode was released on the same day as his breakup announcement.
