DC preschool director arrested for abuse

EVERYBODY reported that James Stewart Carroll, head of the Northwest region. DC Preschool was charged on November 19 with attempted enticement of a minor. ONE press release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office said Carroll allegedly used the Discord app to talk to an undercover officer posing as the father of a child. Fox5DC noted that Discord opened an investigation into Carroll after an employee flagged a file of suspected child sexual abuse uploaded to their servers on September 11.
According to PEOPLE, the undercover agent posed as a separated father who claimed to have regularly abused his 9-year-old son during his weekends in custody. According to Independencethe report states that James Stewart Carroll urged the agent to continue the abusive behavior, as detailed in court documents.
“Carroll directed the undercover officer to abuse his child over a period of approximately two weeks. Law enforcement agencies identified Carroll as a Discord user based on IP addresses traced to both his residence and workplace,” press release notes.
NBC4 Washingtonciting federal court documents, added that James Stewart Carroll, an employee at the National Children’s Study Center, allegedly discussed explicit children’s content with Discord users other. Following news of his arrest, NCRC Board President Megan Ortiz sent a letter to parents. In the letter, Ortiz said she asked James Stewart Carroll not to return to campus or have contact with any NCRC members. Additionally, she expressed that she and her colleagues were extremely shocked by his actions.
“While we have no reason to believe that Mr. Carroll’s conduct involved NCRC students or families, we understand the arrest and charges followed an FBI investigation into online activity. Mr. Carroll’s profile on social media channels and message boards. Mr. Carroll has been instructed that he is not allowed to return to campus for any reason and is not to have contact with any members of the NCRC community. Access to his email, the school’s network, and all school-owned technology was cut off. Like you, my Board colleagues and I are shocked and deeply disturbed by this news,” Megan Ortiz wrote in the letter.
