Hello everyone – Mark Buckley from the FFXIV PR team here to bring you some of the content we just featured on the Dawntrail media tour, which ended last week!
As we are very quickly approaching launch Our fifth expansion, Dawntrail on July 2ndWe wanted to provide a first look at some of the town and field areas you’ll be exploring, a preview of the level 91 dungeon, and some footage of Viper and Pictomancer in action!
The adventure our brave Warriors of Light are about to embark on in Dawntrail will take them to the shores of a new continent: Tural! The adventure in Dawntrail begins with a journey through the Indigo Deep, where a traveler from the land seeks your aid in a succession ritual to determine the next ruler of the land, with news of Rumor has it that events may even lead to the legendary gates of a golden city…

As you can imagine, there are a lot of new things to experience in Dawntrail but I wanted to take you through some of the key areas that were introduced on the tour!
New area
tuliyollal
The city of Tuliyollal ascends the mountainside, the path from the coastal harbor to the towering palace on top of the mountain marked by countless slopes and stairs. Embodying the ideals of the nation of the same name, this bustling metropolis is inhabited by people from all parts of the Tural.
Urqopacha
This Yok Tural mountain region is home to two peoples of very different stature: the child-sized Pelupelu and the giant Yok Huy. However, such a disparity would be meaningless before the hidden majesty of Worqor Zormor, the highest peak in the Tural.
Kozama’uka
To the south of Tuliyollal stretch the verdant forests of Kozama’uka. Large and small rivers flow from the mountains to the west into the region, creating spectacular waterfalls. Although the peoples that inhabit the region resemble elves and Vanu Vanu, each has built unique cultures in this vast wilderness.
Dungeon: Ihuykatumu
We also introduced the level 91 dungeon as part of Dawntrail’s media tour. While we don’t want to reveal why the Warriors of Light will be traveling here, it goes without saying that the entire dungeon looks stunning and even begins with a journey down a forest river!
Face challenging new dungeons and unprecedented threats. With dangers and traps at every turn, steadfast unity and careful coordination are needed to win.
New job
Coming to Dawntrail are two completely new jobs: Viper and Pictomancer! Read on to find out what happens when you can do these things on July 2nd!
Viper
The viper’s close-range fighting style, passed down through the generations by Turali hunters, uses quick and decisive strikes with two one-handed blades along with powerful weapon advancements. combine two hands. When the enemy is weakened, they will strengthen themselves with the power of their ancestors to deliver a powerful and decisive killing blow.

With brush in hand, a pictographer weaves their imagination into the fabric of reality, allowing them to express their myriad motifs into living muses. However, every work of art takes time to perfect, and so their palette is always prepared with a colorful arsenal of abilities and spells to use at a moment’s notice. .

New playable race – Female Hrothgar
The Hrothgars come from Ilsabard. The Turali people share a common ancestor, the Xbr’aal, who call Yak T’el home.
Females are relatively few in number in the population, but are easily identified by their lithe, muscular form. Equally special is their penchant for leadership.
First major graphics update
The game’s first major graphical overhaul adds a series of visual improvements, including enhanced texture and shadow resolution and improved material quality for characters and environments. Experience the world of Eorzea and beyond like never before! We’re positive that all of these updates will look stunning on PlayStation 5, and we can’t wait for you to experience it for yourself!
As you can see, there’s a lot to like in Dawntrail, but what we’re sharing with you today is just a small part of the expansion. We hope you’re as excited as we are about the adventures coming to Dawntrail, and we hope to see you in early access on June 28, 2024 before the official launch on Tuesday, July 2!
