Parkland shooting range survivor David Hogg was forced out of a House Judiciary Committee hearing on possible assault weapons bans, as he stood up and urged Republican lawmakers not to take action on Wednesday. July 20. He is 22 years old. Founder of March for Our Lives was forced out when he yelled at politicians for not taking action against gun lobbyists.

The committee met to discuss a possible assault weapons ban (according to Raw story). In the clip, Hogg highlights the motivation behind many mass shooter, before pointing out that many of the firearms used in mass shootings were legally acquired. “My high school shooter: anti-black and racist,” he said. “Guess what? Those guns came from the United States of America. They are not from Mexico. They are not from Mexico. You’re repeating the points of a mass shooter, sir. Sir, you are causing violence. “

In a tweet accompanying the video, Hogg points to shootings across the US and makes claims that the guns come from Mexico. “The guns in Parkland, Buffalo, El Paso, don’t come from Mexico. They are from America, and the shooters are inspired by racist, anti-black, anti-immigrant manifestos that rhyme with GOP views,” he wrote.

In another video, Hogg shares a clip of a man trying film him and bait him on a post about gun control laws. The activist played music to try to get a copyright strike on the video and ask it to be removed from the internet. inside tweet, he pointed out how many members of the gun lobby seek to discredit activists. “Gun lobbyists can try and hit us, stop us, yell at us. The difference between us and them is that we are just young people defending our right to life. They are protecting their weapons of war and their bank [accounts],” he wrote.

Hogg is one of the survivors of the 2018 shooting at Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida. In the years since the shooting, he’s become a standout. He has continued to fight in recent years and he has shared a lot of information about gun reform.
