Jose Jr was asked for his thoughts on former WBC super middleweight champion two-times Benavidez (25-0, 22 KOs) recently against Jermall in a match between Errol Spence Jr. and Yordenis Ugas on April 16 . He said if he had been there, it would have been a different story.

“I wasn’t there, but if I were there, he wouldn’t have said so,” Jose Jr. said of Benavidez’s near-sticking to Jermall Charlo during the match between Errol Spence Jr. and Yordenis Ugas on April 16. at AT&T Stadium in Arlington.

“Let me see you and see you in person. I am not my brother. I will defeat both of them,”Jose Jr Benavidez said to Fighthype about his belief that he will beat Jermell & Jermall Charlo.

“All they do is talk. They are [Charlo brothers] good fighters, but all they do is talk. When my brother came forward and pressed him [Jermall]nothing happened until the boys walked in. If they really want it, do it immediately.

At this point, Jermall shows no interest in going up to 168 to take on David Benavidez. Charlo has the good thing of making easy money on Showtime in the face of less opposition. He’s not going to ruin the good he’s got fighting Benavidez.

It doesn’t matter what they do, try to close the box or whatever. My brother is too big,” Jose Sr said of David Benavidez being too big for the Charlo twins. “He was a 168-pound man.

“He has speed and power, and he can do whatever he wants in the ring. He’s a genius in the ring, and he knows what he’s doing. My brother will stop him [Jermall].

“He will stop him for eight innings, even though my brother is a slow starter. I feel like my brother has the strength, the drive and everything to take it, to win, and he’s young,” Jose Jr said of Benavidez.

“My brother has the upper hand when it comes to fighting. He had a great training camp; He’s strong, he’s ready, and he’s light weight today, and he’s ready to go,” Jose Jr said of David Benavidez’s fight this Saturday night with David Lemieux.

“Lemieux is a good fighter, but he is too small for my brother. My brother is a 168-pound athlete, and he has that strength. It will be a good night for my brother.

“No matter what he gets in, whatever he tries to do, my brother has a game plan for everything. My brother can fight inside, and my brother can defeat him. He has speed, and he has power. Whatever they wanted to try with him, he knew what to do.
