Dave Bautista takes on the role of Drax in ‘Guardians Of The Galaxy’ – Hollywood Life

Don’t expect to see Dave Bautista, 53, in any more Marvel movies. The wrestler confirmed in a new interview with GQ blow up that he finished playing Drax the Terminator after Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, will release on May 5. “I am so grateful to Drax. I love him. But there is a relief [that it’s over],” says Dave, noting that it’s “not pleasant” to play the comic book character so many times.

“It was hard to play that part,” Dave added. “The makeup process blew me away. And I just didn’t know if I wanted Drax to be my legacy—it was a silly performance and I wanted to do more dramatic things.”
Dave the star in guard movie with Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Karen Gillan, Pom Klementieff, Vin Dieseland Bradly Cooper. In the third and final film, the Guardians will face off against Adam Warlock, do Will Poulter, for their ultimate adventure. Dave also portrayed Drax in Avengers: Infinity War, Avengers: Game over and Thor: Love and Thunder.

Dave’s interest in more “dramatic” roles has certainly materialized in recent times. He only starred in Rian Johnsonmurder mystery Glass onion: The mystery of cutlerywith Daniel Craig, Edward Norton, Kate Hudson, and many other A-list artists. Dave will also be starring in the upcoming movie sand dunes next partwith things like Timothée Chalamet, Zendayaand Josh Brolin, and more.
But Dave said advertising GQ he is less concerned with the popularity of his career and more concerned with the quality of the films he makes. “Honestly, I might care [about being a movie star]” he say. “I don’t live a great flashy life. I don’t care about the limelight, I don’t care about popularity. I just want to be a better actor. I want respect from my colleagues. I don’t need the prize – I really don’t, man. It’s about experience, about knowing that I’ve accomplished something.”
