PlayStation Plus Monthly Games for December: It Takes Two, Aliens: Dark Descent, Temtem

Learn to work together in a fun cooperative adventure, think strategically to survive and overcome the perfect creature, then discover and tame new species with Monthly Games on PlayStation Plus on December. It Takes Two, Aliens: Dark Descent and Temtem launch December 3 for PlayStation Plus members¹.

But before we take a closer look at each game in turn, we wanted to share some of the PlayStation Plus action happening this December as part of the wider PlayStation 30^th celebration (which you may have caught a glimpse of earlier this year). It takes two | PS4, PS5

It Takes Two is a cross-genre platform adventure created entirely for co-op. Choose from couch or online co-op with split-screen play, invite friends to join for free with a Friend’s Pass² and work together to overcome countless exciting, groundbreaking gameplay challenges. Play as conflicted couple Cody and May, two people transformed into dolls by magic. Together, trapped in a fantasy world where the unpredictable lurks around every corner, they reluctantly take on the challenge of saving their crumbling relationship. Master your character’s unique abilities and connections in every new level. Help each other overcome countless unexpected obstacles and moments of laughter. Kick the furry tails of gangster squirrels, wear underwear, DJ a bustling nightclub and slide through a magical snow globe. Capture a heartfelt and fun story where story and gameplay are intertwined in a uniquely metaphorical experience.

Alien: Dark Descent | PS4, PS5

Battle to keep your team alive against the deadliest enemy humanity has ever faced. Aliens: Dark Descent is a real-time combat strategy game in which you’ll command a team of tough colonial marines to stop a terrifying Xenomorph outbreak on Moon Lethe. Lead your soldiers against iconic Xenomorphs, rogue agents from the insatiable Weyland-Yutani Corporation, and a host of horrifying new creatures from the Alien franchise. Infiltrate massive open levels and destroy enemies with your team, sending orders strategically and intuitively. Tread carefully, as your enemies will adapt their tactics to your actions while hunting you for death is permanent.

Temtem | PS5

Every child dreams of becoming a Temtem tamer; Explore the six islands of the Umbrella Archipelago, discovering new species and making good friends along the way. Now it’s your turn to embark on an epic adventure and make those dreams come true. Catch new Temtem on the floating islands of Omninesia, battle other tamers on the sandy beaches of Deniz, or trade with friends in the ash-covered fields of Tucma. Defeat the ever-annoying Clan Belsoto and put an end to their plot to dominate the Islands, defeat all eight Dojo Leaders and become the ultimate tamer of Temtem.

All three games will be available to PlayStation Plus members from December 3 to January 6.

PlayStation Plus Premium Classics for December

Today, we’re excited to share the first reveal of a trio of classic PlayStation titles that will join the PlayStation Plus Premium lineup in December, all of which help celebrate PlayStation’s 30th anniversary.^th anniversary occasion. Starting December 10, members will be able to complete the Sly trilogy on PS2 with the release of Sly 2: Band of Thieves and Sly 3: Honor Among Thieves, while also enjoying Naughty’s PS2 adventure Dog Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy. We’ll have more news on the full PlayStation Plus Games Catalog and Premium lineup¹Later.

Free Online Multiplayer Weekend | December 6-8

To continue celebrating the great online games and communities on PlayStation, we’re hosting a free online multiplayer weekend from December 6 to 8. During those days, you can enjoy online multiplayer for games you own, without needing a PlayStation Plus membership, on PS5 and PS4 consoles³.

³Available for PS5 and PS4 games with online mode. An Internet connection and an account for PlayStation Network are required.

E-sports tournament | December 6-8

During the same weekend, we’ll be hosting a series of PS5 esports tournaments, including titles like EA Sports FC 25, NBA 2K25, Tekken 8, Mortal Kombat 1, Madden NFL 25, College Football 25, UFC 5 , MLB The Show 24 and Guilty Gear strive. If you own any of these games and qualify, you can compete on December 6-8 to win avatars and other game-specific prizes.
