This week, DaniLeigh shared updates about his gloomy life with his fans. her father, Vladimir Curiel, has passed away while fighting cancer. The singer revealed the tragic news in a lengthy social media post and followed up with her channel filled with memories of the man she called her biggest supporter.
DaniLeigh reveals her father’s death
Taking to Instagram Stories on October 1, the singer shared that Vladimir passed away that morning as she, her mother, and siblings prayed for him. According to Dani’s post, the time was 4:14 am. She began the announcement by thanking God for Curiel’s time.
Dani also credits her parents for sacrificing their lives to give their children better things. Ultimately, she describes her father’s transition as another sacrifice so that his children could strengthen their relationship with God.
“I have never felt closer! The way he passed with his children and wife praying for him and saying goodbye to us as he breathed his last showed me how God opened his arms to welcome him into heaven. how. Thank you Jesus for ending his suffering. I know he fought very hard to stay with us but it was time. Thank God for giving me a beautiful angel up there to watch over me.”
The 29-year-old did not detail the type of cancer her father had or when he received his diagnosis. However, she was open about his personality and the impression he left on others.
“Anyone who has met my dad LOVES him. He has something very special about him!! You can meet him for just one day and fall in love with how kind, gentle and pure he is. I always admired the way he saw the good in everyone,” Danileigh wrote.

DaniLeigh’s father passed away about a week after she asked her supporters via Instagram Stories to pray for his life. At that time, she did not provide any further details about his health.
In announcing her father’s death, DaniLeigh also emphasized the pain her father’s death has caused her. She said it was a feeling she had “never felt before.”
“The past few years have been dark for me but I know I have your light shining on me now and I promise that I won’t do anything to dim it. I’m going to miss you so much, it’s crazy that V called you yesterday and kept saying she loved you. She will miss you forever, you know!”
For context, V is the nickname of DaniLeigh’s daughter Velour, whom she shares with rapper Dababy. It’s unclear whether her ex contacted her when news broke of her father’s death. Less than two months ago, it was reported that her brother, Brandon Bills, was still pursuing a lawsuit against DaBaby for their infamous crimes. Brawl at the bowling alley in February 2022.
