Danielle Brooks wore 2 dresses to a wedding in Miami

With a series of stunning photos, Danielle Brooks took to social media this week to celebrate her Miami celebrations to Dennis Gelin and the gorgeous dresses she wore for the occasion. The actor chose two dresses, one by his longtime friend Christian Siriano and the other by Alonuko. “I always knew I would have two dresses“, Danielle said Vogue of appearance. “We thought it would be best to do a first look so we could continue photographing the bride’s wedding reception and not have to pick up guests after the ceremony. I decided to dress up as Christian Siriano to reveal. I’ve been friends since my career first began.” That Christian Siriano dress is also a clever three-in-one design that allows Danielle to create three distinct style moments – from the dress the princess daydreams about the body-hugging dress and finally the long pants!

For the first look, evening gown designed by Alonuko, Danielle spoke of the importance of working with a Black designer: “It was important to me to highlight a designer. How do I feel when it comes to wedding this process, black ads are not prominent enough. Alonuko gave me my dream dress. She flew from London to the place to make sure it got there. I knew I wanted her to have a one-of-a-kind toned net with custom embroidery and a giant oversized dress. Wearing her dress makes me want to get married every day, I love it so much.”

Danielle completed her look with Nina shoes and a special gift from Her stylist, Kelly Augustine, who gave her a pair of Chanel earrings on the morning of her wedding day. Dennis and his groomsmen were dressed in personalized Garçon Couture suits.
