Daniela Riccardi has resigned Keringadministrative Council. The top Italian executive submitted her resignation as director of the French luxury group at a board meeting held after the group’s annual general meeting on April 27. Her duties were confirmed. renewed last year and will end in 2026.
The announcement was made through a press release, which did not state the reason for her departure. “The Appointment and Governance Committee will evaluate the alternative [Riccardi]and begin the succession process in the coming weeks,” Kering said simply, explaining that, as it stands, “the composition of the various committees remains unchanged and will be revised after an appointment in future.” As a result, Riccardi is expected to remain on Kering’s Sustainability committee of which she is also a member.
Riccardi is fluent in French, English, Spanish and Italian, and joined the luxury giant’s board in 2014, contributing his solid management experience. François-Henri Pinault and the board thanked her “warmly” for her “participation and contribution to the work of the board.”
Riccardi graduated in political science and international relations from the University of Rome La Sapienzaand worked for 25 years for a US consumer goods multinational Procter & Gambling, where she held various international management positions. After a 10-year tenure in various Latin American markets, she became vice president of Eastern Europe, based in Moscow, and was later appointed president of Procter & Gamble Greater China, based in Guangzhou.
In 2010, she moved to the fashion field, in charge of Diesel oiland became the first outside manager to run a jeans label, a successful founder Renzo Rosso. Three years later, she left Diesel to take the helm of the crystal maker baccarat cards about seven years. In 2020, Riccardi joins Moleskine as chief executive officer.
