Dak Prescott ‘could’ go out vs. Commander


Dallas Cowboys starting quarterback, Dak Prescott hasn’t played since he was seriously ill thumb injury in a Week 1 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on September 11 and saw a reserve Cooper Rush guide the club to consecutive wins to take the Cowboys to 2-1 on the season.

It was think last week that Prescott could try to get back into the squad for Sunday’s home division game against Washington 1-2 Command, but the 29-year-old did not seem too optimistic about it when told Lorenzo Reyes by USA Today.

“No, probably not,” Prescott said of the possibility of a fight with Washington. He added that he is “considering” returning for the Week 5 game at the Los Angeles Rams on October 9.

Like Josh Alper Prescott said on Pro Football Talk that Prescott had the stitches removed in his right thumb which was surgically repaired on Monday. Head coach Mike McCarthy told reporters Tuesday that his QB1 still has swelling in his thumb.

McCarthy said of Prescott in his comment section: “I don’t have a deadline for when he will start throwing.” Those words seem to confirm Rush will get the nod against Washington.
