A messenger arrives with news about Stepstone and Crabfeeder. Viserys denies what is happening to his brother and the Sea Snake since they started a war without his explicit permission. He really cares Rhaenyra and asked to know where she was.

Alicent goes to find her. Rhaenyra remained stubborn and refused to meet her father, so Alicent was forced to exert her power as queen consort. She told Rhaenyra about the upcoming hunt and tried to get her to join, but Rhaenyra didn’t. However, she must join Viserys, Alicent, and Aegon II in a chariot as they approach a celebration.

Viserys again tried to invite Rhaenyra to be part of the hunt. She continued to ignore. Viserys reminds her of her duty. “No one is here for me,” she snapped. This celebration is for Aegon. The crowd cheered for the child when they arrived, and no one even asked about Rhaenyra, the future queen. She was left alone in the carriage.

Rhaenyra & Viserys The Marriage Debate

At a party, the women sat and chatted with Alicent. Daemon’s war broke out, and Rhaenyra was asked about him. She said she hadn’t spoken to him in years. One of the women basically blamed this war on Rhaenyra because she was named heir to Daemon. Alicent defends Rhaenyra, telling everyone that Rhaenyra is “more suitable for the role” of ruling Westeros than Daemon.

Rhaenyra meets Jason Lannister, who isn’t shy about the marriage proposal. Understandably, Rhaenyra looked annoyed and left angrily. She has to face her father, who brought Jason to this. He revealed that since she came of age, he has received marriage proposals from all over the Kingdom.

“I don’t want to get married,” she told her father. Viserys insists that she get married. She cannot shirk duty and tradition. Otto cut their public skirmish short, giving Rhaenyra time to ride. Ser Criston Cole follow her. When he caught up with her, Rhaenyra opened up about the situation. She doesn’t want to just add value to the status of a lord of Casterly Rock. She knows she is more than that.

Back at base, Jason presents Viserys with a sword in honor of Aegon II. He came up with the idea of marrying Rhaenyra again and said that she would be well compensated for the “loss in the station”, that is, when Viserys named Aegon II his heir. Viserys is quick to remind him that he did not name his heiress Rhaenyra “on a whim.” He added, “All the lords of the kingdom would do well to keep that in mind.”

Otto reminds Viserys that he is king. He could command Rhaenyra to do whatever he wanted. Viserys didn’t want to force her daughter to do anything. He wants her to be happy. Otto has another suggestion for Rhaenyra’s husband: Aegon II. Viserys looked at Otto in astonishment and then laughed at the idea. Aegon II just filmed 2 years old. All this talk of marriage and politics annoyed Viserys, so he continued drinking and drinking.

Lyonel Strong is the one who goes to meet a decent suitor: Laenor Velaryon, son of Sea Snake. Laenor is of pure Valyrian descent and heir to the richest house in the Kingdom. Viserys did not dismiss the idea immediately. He just staggered to his feet and left.

Rhaenyra & Criston attacked

Criston begs Rhaenyra to return to base, but she wants to prolong this adventure as long as possible. “Do you think the Kingdom will ever accept me as their queen?” she asked him. Criston replied, “They would have no choice but to.”

Then they heard something in the woods. A dark horse lunged and knocked Criston down. The animal chased after Rhaenyra, and she tried to stop it from attacking her face. Criston stabs the mare before it can deal damage. Rhaenyra took her knife and continued stabbing the hedgehog again and again, releasing all the anger she was pent-up. By the time she finished, Rhaenyra was covered in blood.

After hearing about Rhaenyra’s suitor, Viserys spoke to Alicent. He was worried about what to do with Rhaenyra and the succession. He claims that he once dreamed of a prophecy where his son was king. His obsession with this prophecy killed Aemma. He confessed that he thought naming Rhaenyra as his heir would help ease the guilt he felt. Viserys said he “never imagined” he would remarry and have a son. “What if I’m wrong?” Viserys asked, alluding to naming Rhaenyra as his heir.

The next morning, Rhaenrya and Criston, covered in blood, looked out over the land around them. Suddenly, they saw a white deer. Criston prepares to kill it, but Rhaenyra tells him not. She let the white deer go free. They returned to base with the dead hedgehog. All eyes were on Rhaenyra when she returned. No one speaks a word.

Otto believed that Aegon II would become king over Rhaenyra

Back at King’s Landing, Otto goes to see Alicent. He asked her how she felt about the celebration. Otto said that Aegon II was “the future of the Kingdom” and that Aegon II’s birth ended 15 years of “uncertainty and doubt”.

Otto believes that Aegon II was born to rule the Seven Kingdoms. Alicent seemed displeased about this discussion. Otto did not give up. He said that if Rhaenyra “steps over” Aegon to ascend the throne, “the kingdom will tear itself apart.” Alicent reminds him that everyone has sworn allegiance to her, but Otto replies that everyone did so before Aegon II appeared in the picture.

“Rhaenyra would make a good queen,” Alicent said. Otto said it didn’t matter. “Rhaenrya is a woman,” he said. Alicent did not want to raise her son to take away her sister’s birthright. “It was Aegon who was wrong. He is the first son of the king. To deny that he is the heir to the throne is to attack gods and humans. The way forward is uncertain, but ultimately clear. Aegon will be king,” Otto announced.

Otto forces Alicent to convince Viserys of this. When Alicent went to see her husband, Viserys was having a huge hangover. Rhaenrya’s marriage prospects reappeared. Viserys said Rhaenyra needed a man who would serve as her “king’s consort”. Alicent believes that Rhaenyra will get married, but she needs to think it’s her choice.

Corlys’ brother writes a letter to Viserys explaining Daemon’s loss of the War at the Steps. It was a plea for aid. Alicent convinces Viserys to send aid to Daemon and the Sea Snake. It’s best for Realm.

‘You will not be replaced’

Then Rhaenyra and Viserys argued again. She’s still upset about Jason Lannister’s situation. Viserys apologized, insisting he was just trying to help. He asked Rhaenyra why she was always against him. “Because you want to replace me with the son of Alicent Hightower, the boy you always wanted… You are of no use to me anymore,” Rhaenyra said.

Viserys swore she had “misjudged” him. “I’m not looking to replace him,” Viserys said. He just wants to see her happy and contented. She calls him because all this talks about advantages. If this is favorable, he is married to Laena Velaryon and not Alicent.

Viserys emphasizes that there is no way around the obvious. He said that Rhaenrya had to get married to “strengthen your own claim, strengthen your succession, multiply.” Viserys left it in her hand. “I have wavered at times. But I swear to you now, in your mother’s memory, you will not be replaced,” Viserys promised.

Daemon kills the crab

At the Steps, the Velaryons began discussing their next attack plan without the Daemon. There’s definitely some tension there. Daemon walks on Caraxes and reads Viserys’ letter saying he is sending help. Daemon returned to the battlefield and waved the white flag. Crabfeeder express himself.

When Daemon was surrounded by Crabfeeder’s men, he knelt with his sword. One of Crabfeeder’s men took his sword. It’s all just a ruse. Daemon stabs the man and kills him. Arrows flew, but he dodged them. The daemon continues to run.

More people rushed towards him. It was a terrible war. It’s Daemon and everyone. He was shot with many arrows. Daemon was really about to lose the battle, but he stood ready with his sword. In the blink of an eye, Daemon’s soldiers arrive and Leanor saves him while riding Seasmoke.

The battle raged and Daemon ran into the cave to hunt down Crabfeeder. He retreated with Crabfeeder’s severed body. The daemon was full of blood, but the battle was won.
