CWG 2022 Comes To An End In Birmingham With Glittering Closing Ceremony

Highlights of the Closing Ceremony of the 2022 Commonwealth Games: The 2022 Commonwealth Games ended on Monday after a glittering closing ceremony at Alexander Stadium in Birmingham. The Olympic flag was lowered and handed over to the state of Victoria, Australia, which will host the next edition of the CWG in 2026. The closing ceremony began with a performance by the band Solihull Ocean Color Scene. This was followed by a musical performance by the Birmingham-born Dexys Midnight Runners band. One of the biggest bands of all time, UB40 added more to the event, while other musicians and bands from the Midlands entertained the crowd with their performances.
