His Royal Highness The Crown Prince’s Cup sponsored by Howden, as well as the penultimate races in the Bahrain Turf Series are all featured in Bahrain’s Friday race.
The listed 2000 meter race drew 15 horses, led by athlete Godolphin Warren Score (GB) (Dubawi {Ire}), who won at Kempton in October for coach Charlie Appleby. George Baker sent Lucander (Ire) (Footsteps in the sand {GB}), who won one of the previous Bahrain Turf Series races, while intern Roger Fell and Group 3 winner Marie’s Diamond (Ire) (Footsteps in the sand {GB}) completed the international tournament.
Both the Anchorman Cup and The Hawar Cup, over 1800 meters and 1200 meters respectively, have also attracted international entries. by Godolphin King of Conquerors (GB) (Lope De Vega {Ire}) was one of 16 in The Anchorman Cup. Clock (GB) (Dark Angel {Ire}), representing Baker, is aiming to go further after the first start in Bahrain in the sprint feature.
