Cricket player Ruturaj Gaikwad takes home the new Jawa 42 Bobber
Ruturaj Gaikwad is a well-known name in the Indian cricket team having shown some stellar performances in the Indian Premier League (IPL). He also made his international debut at T20 International against Sri Lanka last year. However, few know that the 25-year-old is also a motorcycle enthusiast and now the cricketer has added to his garage a new car – Jawa 42 Bobber – worth $2.07 lakh (old gallery).
The factory-made single-seater bobber was launched earlier this year and is the company’s second such product after the Jawa Perak. Gaikwad can be seen receiving his new Jawa 42 Bobber in Moonstone White color. The model is a modern iteration based on the Perak and receives numerous upgrades including revised ergonomics, a lower-set floating single seat, front footpegs and a new steering wheel.

The 42 Bobber also comes with fatter tires, LED headlights, a new instrument cluster with digital displays, and a revised suspension for better comfort and handling. Power comes from a single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, 334 cc engine, producing 30.2 hp and 32.74 Nm of torque, combined with a 6-speed gearbox. standard. The model is equipped with two-channel ABS as standard. The Jawa 42 Bobber is the most affordable factory-made bobber on sale nationwide.

On the work front, Ruturaj Gaikwad was last seen playing for Team India in their first ODI match against South Africa in October of this year. He has also played for the Chennai Super Kings for the past three IPL seasons. Gaikwad also set a record at the Vijay Hazare Trophy last month when he hit seven six in one game.
