Cramps in these five areas of the body can signal high cholesterol
According to the University of California San Francisco Department of Surgery, symptoms of high cholesterol can include cramps in the affected leg(s) and in the buttocks, thighs, calves, and feet. These cramps may subside with rest. Other signs and symptoms of PAD include a weak or absent pulse in the legs or feet and sores or wounds on the toes, feet, or legs that heal slowly, poorly, or not at all. Your skin may be pale or bluish in color. You may feel a lower temperature in one leg than the other. You may notice poor toenail growth and reduced leg hair. Men with diabetes can also experience erectile dysfunction.
Despite these symptoms, there are many people who have PAD and don’t have any signs or symptoms of the disease. You should see your doctor if you experience any of these symptoms, especially recurrent pain.
