Recreate Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee’s outfits for “Pam & Tommy” not an easy feat, but costume designer Kameron Lennox rise to the challenge. The mastermind behind the wardrobe of the Hulu miniseries, Lennox and her team brought The most memorable 90s fashion moments of the old couple back to life nearly three decades later. Their strategy? Brush back the thrift store shelves and start over for Lily James and Sebastian Stan. “The look Pam wore in the infamous ‘Barb Wire,’ ‘Baywatch,’ wedding bikini, on ‘The Tonight Show With Jay Leno“and for that deposition it’s historic and iconic,” Lennox told POPSUGAR. “To tell our story correctly, we had to make sure we made the choices that were made in the moment.”
Working closely with The show’s makeup and hairstyling department, Lennox helped turn James and Stan into weird Anderson and Lee impersonators. When the paparazzi captured it put photo James was filming in a red “Baywatch” movie, before “Pam & Tommy” came out, fans could hardly believe how much the British actor resembled the Canadian model. Identical high slit swimsuit set, crimson, and fitted, and James’ thin eyebrows, blonde hair and French manicure complete her metamorphosis.
As episodes of “Pam & Tommy” continue to air on Hulu weekly, POPSUGAR caught up with Lennox to learn more about the intricacies of recreating Anderson’s costume for the small screen.
