Coronavirus: Experiencing COVID-19 symptoms but testing negative? Know what it means
If you did the RT PCR test, if the samples were collected correctly and still negative, this could also mean that your illness is not COVID-19.
Symptoms of COVID-19 can resemble those of other respiratory illnesses including the common cold, flu, or seasonal allergies. Sore throat, runny nose, fatigue, fever, cough, and body aches are common symptoms associated with most respiratory infections.
So how can you differentiate between the diseases? Pay attention to severity, higher risk of coronavirus, incubation period, can be 1-14 days for COVID, 1 to 4 days for flu and 1-3 days for cold normally. Also, look out for other unusual symptoms that are key to COVID-19, like loss of smell and taste.
