Conor Benn Not Ready Danny Garcia or Adrien Broner says Carl Froch

Via Charles Brun: Carl Froch says heavyweight Conor Benn isn’t ready to face Adrien Broner or Danny Garcia for his next bout in London following his second-round TKO win over veteran Chris Van Heerden last Saturday night at Manchester Arena in Manchester, Brother.

Eddie Hearn is basking in the limelight following the 34-year-old Van Heerden (28-3-1, 12 KOs) Benn massacre, talking about how Conor (21-0, 14 KOs) will soon be world champion .

Hearn is clearly counting on the winner of the undisputed clash between champions Errol Spence Jr. and Terence Crawford vacated all four titles, which would disqualify candidates in the segment.

Hearn can then choose one of the belts with a beatable opponent that Benn is 100% sure of beating. Meaning, one of the 147 lb belts is about to be left empty Jaron ‘Boots’ Ennis or Vergil Ortiz Jr. anywhere near the neighborhood because those guys would be a nightmare for Greenhorn Benn.

“He’s NOT ready for those warriors,” Carl Froch told Professional boxing fan when asked about his thoughts on whether Conor Benn will face Adrien Broner or Danny Garcia next.

He couldn’t just jump up and walk in with the top smashers in the world. He changed the European level. He needs to fight Ekow Essuman, people like him will give him a round and give him a good fight. Froch said.

I wouldn’t say Danny Garcia and Adrien Broner are “world beaters” at this stage in their careers, as Froch refers to them, but they can beat Benn.

Danny will have a great chance to beat Benn, but Broner is probably too far-fetched at this point in his career.

Then you’ve got David Avanesyan, European champion. He’s really for Conor Benn [big problems],” said Froch. “It was a great fight. I would love to see that. They say he’s not a big enough name. Okay, the risk-reward ratio might not be there for him, but the fighting types will get you there,” Froch said.

It’s futile for Froch to mention Avanesyan as a possible choice for Benn’s next fight as Hearn has every reason in the book for why Conor doesn’t have to fight him.

Hearn’s main reason for not letting Avanesyan anywhere near Benn was that he wasn’t as popular as the likes of Broner, Mikey Garcia, or Danny.

“When you step up to the European level, you learn a lot. Conor Benn Is Missing These Battles That Will Get Him Ready [world] level. Of course, he does, he needs those games and he’s not going to get them,” Froch said when asked if Benn needs European level experience.

He will go on and become world championnow we have to step up the opposition,” Eddie Hearn told DAZN of Conor Benn after the win over Van Heerden.

“It would be Mikey Garcia, Danny Garcia, Keith Thurman, Adrian Broner, David Avanesyan. We want a war between the two sides.”
