“[Prime Minister Narendra] Modi has repeatedly said, ‘I am the only one who can face the country. No one else can touch me.’ Not a single democratic man said this. You are in a democracy, you should remember you are not an autocrat. You are not a dictator. You are elected by the people and people will teach you a lesson,” he said at an election rally in Nagaland.
“In 2024, the coalition government will be the center, Congress will lead. We are talking to the other parties because otherwise democracy and the constitution will disappear,” Kharge said.
“So every now and then with every side, we’re calling, we’re talking, we’re sharing our views. The BJP is not going to win a majority. All the other parties together, we are. will win a majority… let 100 Modis or Shah come,” he said, luring the Prime Minister and his chief strategist, Interior Minister Amit Shah.
“Our people sacrificed their lives for freedom. Congress. Not you, BJPs. Tell me have any BJP leaders been hanged for freedom or not. fight for freedom? Have you been to prison? Someone who brought freedom instead, Mahatma Gandhi, they killed him. And people like that are talking about patriotism?” he say.
“For the unification of the country, Indira Gandhi sacrificed his life. For the unification of the country, Rajiv Gandhi sacrificed his life. They thought that they won their independence only in 2014. They don’t remember 1947,” Kharge said.
