Details about the arrival of baby JR & Candice
On Saturday (September 28), JR Smith and Candice Patton announced the arrival of their baby boy in a joint Instagram post.
The adorable photo collection features a newborn baby in a cozy onesie and other images of the baby resting in bed. Another snap shows JR proudly holding his son in one arm.
Candice posted photos and videos Instagram Show off your baby’s tiny feet. In her caption, she shared that she and JR welcomed their baby boy at home.
“Virgo boy. Born at home. My heart is now beating outside my chest. Love forever 💕👣”
This is JR and Candice’s first child together, however he has three daughters – Demi, Denver and Peyton – with his estranged wife Ngoc Harris.

Page Six reported that JR and Candice first sparked dating rumors in October 2019 when a photo of them at a Halloween party surfaced on social media.
Innanet quickly reacted to the photo which sparked speculation that he was cheating on his wife, Jewel. However, TMZ revealed that JR has clarified his marital status, saying that he and Jewel have been separated for a while.
Concerns grew after Jewel posted on Instagram, claiming she knew all about the alleged relationship between JR and Candice Patton.
In the 2019 viral clip, Jewel mentioned both JR and Candice by name, according to TMZ. In the video, she claimed that God spoke to her, causing her to go public with the situation.
“My husband, he’s hurting and Candice, she’s hurting too. Lord, for her to go out here and look for a married man, I just pray that You will give her grace and mercy to get through all of this,” Jewel said in the video.
At the time, JR seemingly responded to Jewel’s video with a post saying that Instagram is not the right platform for relationships.
“IG is not a place for relationships!! But God told me to tell you that I have been away for many months. He doesn’t understand why his kid didn’t mention it… #thatsall,” Jewel wrote.
