Commonwealth Games 2022 Day 4 Live Updates: Judoka Shushila Devi’s Final Starts, IND Lead ENG In Hockey

Commonwealth Games 2022 Day 4 live updates: Judoka Shushila Devi Likmabam’s women’s 48kg final against South Africa’s Michaela Whitebooi has begun. In addition, three other judokas will compete for bronze. In hockey, India is leading England with a score of 3-0 in the men’s Group B hockey match. It’s been a great day for India so far as the country has found no heroes. India’s grass-court Bowls team made history on Monday by beating New Zealand in the women’s four-way semi-final to secure themselves at least a silver medal. Boxers Amit Panghal (flyweight) and Hussam Uddin Mohammed (featherweight) reached the quarterfinals. In weightlifting, Ajay Singh finished 4th in the men’s 81kg category. Gymnast Pranati Nayak finished fifth in the women’s vault final. In squash, Saurav Ghosal beat Scotland’s Greg Lobban to reach the men’s singles semifinals, however, Joshna Chinappa defeated Canada’s Hollie Naughton in the women’s singles quarterfinals.

So far, India has won six medals (three gold, two silver and one bronze) at CWG 2022.

Monday will also see some of India’s other top sports leagues in action. In badminton, India will face Singapore in the mixed team semi-final. In table tennis, the Indian men’s team will play the semi-final against Nigeria.
