The privately held commodities trading company made $2.7 billion in net profit on $170.6 billion in revenue for the six months through March, it said Friday. Profits were 29% higher year-on-year, making Trafigura the winner for the time period large fluctuations in energy and metal prices. Two-thirds of revenue comes from trading in oil and other forms of energy.
