Comedian and Netflix star David A. Arnold has died aged 54, his family has announced.
The Full House screenwriter was just three days into his comedy tour when he passed away ‘of natural causes’ at his home.
In a statement sent to the LA Times, his family said: ‘We are deeply saddened to confirm the untimely passing of our husband, father, brother and friend, David A. Arnold.
‘David passed away peacefully today at his home and doctors have ruled natural causes of death.
‘Please pray for our family and respect our privacy at this time, as we are all shocked and saddened by this loss.’

He posted a video of one of his comedy sketches on Instagram just hours before his family announced his death.
David writes: ‘I will never forget the day my oldest decided between me and my wife who to send to a nursing home.’

Writer and comic book writer who began her career at the Montreal Comedy Festival and appeared on Jamie Foxx’s Laffapalooza.
David has released two Netflix specials during his career. In 2019, he released David A. Arnold: Fat Ballerina and in July of this year, he released It Ain’t For The Weak.
He also created the show That Girl Lay Lay and worked as a host and executive producer on it.
Working on the Fuller House reboot as a writer and producer, he’s also done shows including Meet The Browns and Tyler Perry’s House of Payne.
Arnold is married to his wife Julie L Harkness, with whom he has two children, Anna-Grace and Ashlyn.

Bryan Behar, a writer and television producer, wrote: ‘Hard to hear that David A. Arnold has passed away. He’s a beloved member of our Fuller House writing team, one of the funniest comedians I’ve ever seen & a great man.
