Colts put Carson Wentz on COVID-19 list
Colts are placed Carson Wentz on COVID-19 / reserve list, as announced by the club. As the midfielder is unvaccinated, this makes him ineligible to play Sunday with the Raiders if he tests positive.
Current league protocols require unvaccinated players to stay in quarantine for a minimum of 10 days before rejoining the team. That rule may change in the coming days because NFL and NFLPA discuss another revision to protocols, although their modifications are only applicable to vaccinated players.
Currently, Colts is expected to start Sam Ehlinger on Sunday as they look to take the playoff spot. At 9-7, they must defeat the Raiders to keep hope for their division alive.
Ehlinger, a sixth rookie, has yet to make it through this year. Wentz, meanwhile, completed 63% of his pitches in 3,230 yards with 25 touchdowns from six interceptions.
