Colombia holds huge concert to mark report into armed conflict
About 16,000 people gathered in Bogotá’s Simón Bolívar Park for a concert to pay tribute to the victims of the country’s armed conflict.
Thousands of musicians from various orchestras, musicians and schools performed Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony and other pieces to mark a report looking at human rights abuses in the conflict.
Some 260,000 people are thought to have been killed and millions displaced as leftist rebels battled against Colombian security forces and right-wing paramilitaries.
