Officials at Oaklawn Park tweeted Thursday afternoon that the race and training will be canceled on Friday, January 21 due to extreme cold temperatures in and around Hot Springs.
According to the tweet, the track is scheduled to open for practice on Saturday, January 22 and the race will continue, with the first posting time being 1pm Central Time.
Officials are expected to return to a normal schedule on Sunday, January 23.
