‘CODA’s Troy Kotsur Reacts To Working With Marlee Matlin Again – Hollywood Life

Troy Kotsur It will be “honored” to work again with CODA costar Marlee Matlin56. Academy Award-winning star, 53 years old, has won Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for the role of Frank Rossi alongside deaf Oscar winner, Marlee, who plays his wife in the film, Jackie Rossi.

“You know, we talked about some ideas, maybe we could get a divorce. We may be a separated or divorced couple and have to fight over custody of our children. Or maybe she could be my fucking sister,” he laughs. “There are so many amazing possibilities.” Troy and Marlee make movie history after starring in the epic with Emilia Jones is their daughter who can hear and Daniel Durant as her deaf brother.

“We have been waiting for such a story and so our film has had such a powerful impact as a first step and has really influenced people to get a new perspective,” said Troy. continue. “We are all human, we just communicate in different languages, that’s all. And so, if you see a deaf person, that means they are limited, or a victim because they can’t hear? Don’t forget, we use our eyes, we can see, we can feel, we have a heart. What you hear is what I can see and we are all human and we are all here to collaborate and work together. “
