CoD: Warzone 2 Details For DMZ Season 2 Including New Map, Massive Reset and MW2 Exclusive Content

season 2 of Call of the Mission: Warzone 2 coming on February 15th, and a new one blog post from Activision details all the major changes expected for the DMZ mode. The seasonal update will include a new location, boss encounters, and seasonal wipeouts. Here’s everything you need to know before starting Season 2 of the DMZ.
New DMZ map and location changes
As previously announced, Warzone 2 will have a brand new Ashika Island map for Season 2, giving players a new place to infiltrate in DMZ mode. The map has seven main points of interest and the island includes the new Weapon Box event, boss encounters, etc.
Ashika Island will also provide the opportunity to find the key cards needed to access Location of DMZ .’s Locked Building 21. Key cards on the island can be obtained in a similar way to the Al Mazrah map, including finding rare orange loot chests, a public supply drop event, and a reduced supply from the Contracts page web SAM or from taking down the helicopter commander.
The blog post also reveals the map change and new story details for Al Mazrah. Players will want to investigate the crash of an unidentified plane at the Sattiq Cave Complex site and there will be new story information for the different Factions.
Delete DMZ
The blog also mentions announced a seasonal wipe for the DMZ before. Activision says the refresh will include the removal of Contraband weapons earned, the key vault will be emptied, and all Faction missions and mission progress will be reset. The publisher says this reset is to make room for an updated mission set that incorporates all the maps.
Fortunately, the publisher confirmed that players will not lose any of the Insurance weapon slots unlocked through the progress of the previous Faction quest. Additionally, players who haven’t unlocked additional slots will have an easier time progressing with Season 2’s changes to mission difficulty.
It’s also important to note that any rewards earned in Season 1 will not be reset. This includes operator skins, weapon blueprints, and any other cosmetics obtained from events and boss encounters.
To complete the reset, Activision says the DMZ may have to go offline for several hours before the launch of Season 2, but details will be shared later.
new faction
A new faction called Crown will join Season 2, but this new set of quests will be exclusive to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 owners. This fourth faction is vaguely described as a group of people. He is shrouded in mystery.
Quality of life changes
As previously announcedSeason 2 will bring some quality of life changes, including higher stability, adjustments to overpowered AI, and improved difficulty in faction missions as levels go up.
Spawn points are also being adjusted on Al Mazrah. This includes player-filled slots, as well as changes to exfil points, boss spawn points, and drop locations.
When discussing the future of the DMZ, Activision said it has no intention of adopting a mission refresh every season. “Instead, we’re happy to try different approaches each season to continually improve the DMZ experience,” the publisher said. “More to come on this in the future.”
Season 2 is also expected to bring major changes to the battle royale. Players can expect a Traditional 1v1 Gulag for the Al Mazrah map, an overhaul to the looting and inventory system, many improvements in quality of life, and more. On the multiplayer side, Call of Duty’s Hardcore multiplayer is finally here in Modern Warfare 2. Remember to watch everything we know about Part 2 of Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2.
