Class 8-Pass Poses As Cop With Red Beacon Car In Delhi, Cheats Many Women

Delhi police said in a statement that a man who had completed his eighth grade has tricked at least a dozen women out of tens of thousands of rupees by posing as the Indian Police Department, or IPS, a police officer. mandarin.
The alleged scammer, Vikas Gautam, created fake profiles on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook under the name Vikas Yadav.
To make the profile look authentic, he even posed with a government car with a red beacon.
One of the women he tricked was a doctor working at Sanjay Gandhi Hospital in Delhi. They have started chatting online. One day, using detailed information obtained from the doctor after gaining her trust, he withdrew Rs 25,000 from the doctor’s bank account.
Finally, when the doctor found out he was a fraud, she decided to go to the police. But the fake IPS officer threatened her, saying he had political connections, police said.
Based on the doctor’s complaint, the police began technical supervision and eventually arrested him. Police said he had scammed tens of women tens of thousands of rupees by posing as an IPS officer.
Vikas Gautam is a resident of Madhya Pradesh’s Gwalior, Delhi police officer Harinder Singh said, adding that the defendant took some welding courses at an industrial training institute after passing Grade 8.
Police said Vikas Gautam also worked at a restaurant in Mukherjee Nagar, north of Delhi, a civil service exam training center in the national capital. He had seen students prepare for the civil service in the area and likely got the idea to pose as an IPS officer from there.
Police discovered Vikas Gautam has a criminal record. He has served time in prison for fraud in Uttar Pradesh and Gwalior.
