Sanrio has announced the provisional results for its 2024 Character Rankings, which show Cinnamoroll taking the top spot. Voting reopened in April 2024, with initial results released Pochacco first overall.
The overall standings for provisional results show Cinnamoroll currently top, followed by Pochacco in second and Pompompurin in third. Hello Kitty took fourth place and Kuromi fifth, leaving the top five very similar to the original results, with only a few positions swapped. In the regional rankings, Cinnamoroll took the top spot in 10 of the 14 countries recorded, rarely missing out of the top 3. Meanwhile, Hong Kong favored Kerokerokeroppi, South Korea ranked Pochacco first, UK elected Pompompurin as the leading team and Minnanotabo as the most popular in Thailand.

Sanrio also has a suite of products in the works in partnership with artist Momocowith the pre-sale ending on May 13, 2024. Meanwhile, some Sanrio characters dressed as Yu-Gi-Oh monster will be available as a Happy Meal toy in McDonalds stores in the UK.
Voting for the 2024 Sanrio Character Rankings will remain open until May 26, 2024, with final results announced on June 16, 2024.
