High clearance and Cut may have become Ciara’s signature, but her latest outfit has taken her sizzling style to new territory. Celebrating the launch of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue 2022 in NYC on May 19, the singer actually dressed up as a cover star, which she joined models Kim Kardashian, Yumi Nu and Maye Musk on the front page of the annual magazine. Ciara stepped out on the red carpet in an all-black LaQuan Smith outfit, featuring a bodysuit with many cropped cuts, a mini skirt that cascaded the top to create the illusion of a dress, and high-heeled sandals.
Ciara, who wore a LaQuan Smith leopard print swimsuit and cowboy hat on the cover of the magazine, chose the designer again for her party set. Adorned with cutouts across the bust, belly and hips, her turtleneck bodysuit consisted of an underwire bra and high leg slit, which matched perfectly with the pleated skirt that hugged her figure. These pieces are from Smith’s fall/winter 2022 collection and sourced with the help of Ciara’s longtime stylist, Kollin Carter. The 36-year-old singer-songwriter wore an outfit with stacked diamond bracelets, teardrop-shaped beaded earrings, and her diamond engagement ring. One French manicure with rhinestone and an easy wet-haired updater completed the ensemble.
Known for unexpected cut off and ball fitSmith is the man behind many of Ciara’s boldest looks, including brown rhinestone cape she wore to give Smith the ACE award in November. Recently, the singer has worn many different looks, like her. metal, zebra print cape in Gold-plated Glamor themed Met Gala and her asymmetrical slit dress while hosting guest “The Ellen DeGeneres Show.”
