Churchill’s Blue Rose Cen Creates Success For G3 Prix d’Aumale

Yeguada Centurion, 2 years old, purebred son Blue Rose Cen (Ire) (Churchill {Ire}–Queen Blossom {Ire}, by Jeremy), who next won at Saint-Cloud in June and at Clairefontaine in July with a runner-up on Deauville’s Criterium du Fonds Europeen de l’Elevage on the date August 20, made her experience recounted during the G3 Prix d’Aumale competition at ParisLongchamp on Thursday and rose to career success in the athletics one-mile test. The second favorite 13-5 has settled to follow the leaders in third place after a warning-filled getaway. Under pressure to reduce debt as she neared the 1/4 mile mark, she was quick in her fashion sense to get ahead past the eighth column and be driven out at the back to count the human racers. Older brother Breath of Heaven (GB) (Dark Angel {Ire}) with a comfortable final length 1 1/2.

“She was tough and honest and never let us down,” said winning coach Christopher Head. “She was beaten by a good horse [Victoria Road] last time and this time only faced fillings, so we are very hopeful. Aurelien [Lemaitre] gave her the perfect ride, she handled the softer ground very well and now she deserves her chance in [G1 Prix] Marcel Boussac. She does her race very well so I have no doubt that she will be ready on that day.” Reflecting on the performance of ‘Rising Star TDN’ Left Sea (GB) (Frankel {GB}), Carlos Laffon-Parias added, “Unfortunately, she was tied up [in the straight] That explains why she’s running like that.”

Blue Rose Cen is the lone pony of G3 Park Express S. and GIII Santa Barbara S. eating Queen Blossom (Ire) (Jeremy), herself a top performer produced by G3 Silver Flash S. Third Mark Of An Angel (Ire) (Seal of Esteem {Ire}). In turn, Mark Of An Angel is the granddaughter of the third South African double winner and G1 Gosforth Park Fillies & Mares Challenge third Gray Angel (GB) (Kenmare {Fr}).
