As part of the betting menu for the May 7 Kentucky Derby day, Churchill Downs will offer Pick 3 on a 3-Year-Old and Pick 5 outright dirty, both of which will end in a Race for Commissions.
The 3-year-old Pick 3 will have a $3 minimum bet and includes a $500,000 GII American Turf and a GII Pat Day Mile before ending with a Derby. Like all 50-coin 3-to-pay selections, the bet will pay out at 22%.
A perfectly clean selection, all bets will have a minimum of 50 coins and 15% while including $160,000 Knicks Go S., GI Derby City Distaff $750,000, GI Churchill Downs S. $750,000, Pat Day Mile and Derby.
Along with the “Derby City 6” jackpot bet, Churchill will once again offer two-day Oaks/Derby Pick 6 with a minimum of $2 (2019 prize $479,561). Betting begins Friday, May 6 with GI La Troienne S. $750,000 and GI Longines Kentucky Oaks $1.25 million before closing on Saturday with Derby City Distaff, Churchill Downs S ., the $1 million GI Old Forester Bourbon Turf Classic and the Derby.
There will be four traditional Pick 5 and Pick 4 bets on Kentucky Derby Day. Third Pick (2019 handle: $3,980,809) and Third Pick (2019 handle: $4,091,771) will have an all-stakes streak and culminate in a Derby.
Superfecta bets will have a minimum of $1 on Kentucky Derby and Oaks days but will be a 10 cent minimum on all other days.
