It’s been a big year for Christopher John Rogers, and US Women’s Designer of the Year 2021 is ending it on a high note by launching a new collection that is sure to delight his fans and customers or anyone who enjoys looking at beautiful things.
For the 009 Collection, Rogers continues to build and grow code and trademark signature of his name. The designer gave her clients a high rating – “individuals continue to seek out the tools Rogers created to create autonomy and self-expression,” the collection notes. practice – and think about the tools he wished he had when he was younger. He mused about growing up in the South and how his preppy, sane personality and pulling habits determine how people expect to dress and marry that aesthetic with more characteristic influences: “a teenager spent surfing online forums, watching game videos and getting to know individuals in second-hand stores”, as well as paper balls, trash bags and takeout bags.
The collection notes question: “When a person is forced to discover themselves through the limits of society and the expectations of how they present themselves, that feeling informs the designer about How was that experience?”
This manifests itself in a product line filled with both timeless elegance and quirky individualism: couture-like and chic dresses, tailored and tailored in different colors. bright, distinctive shades of green, pink and orange; youthful prints like polka dots are meant to look like scribbles on a child’s bedroom wall; various patterns with stripes, “one of the only prints that Christopher was comfortable enough to wear growing up.”
Rogers may be known for its notable break with bright colors, but this collection also includes a few quieter looks for those moments when CJR customers feel a little less gaudy. : a clean strapless dress and a tailored tailored suit in light gray ; a two-piece long gown with matching cream opera gloves; a black body-hugging knit dress with thin neon trim. Each has their own unique flair, these looks demonstrate that Rogers can do a lot without necessarily having to “do the most”.
