The apology appears to have come from Facebook user Sean L. McClain, but Chris’ team has denied all claims and said the statement regarding last night’s Oscars was false.
According to The Hollywood Reporter’s Rebecca Keegan, she tweeted, “Chris Rock has yet to release a statement. There’s a statement revolving around the intent that is from Rock and not from him, according to his team. It was the opening line, “As a comedian, it was hard to understand….”
