Via Ken Hissner: At Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, Nevada, Tom Brown (TGB Promotions) and PBC presented on Showtime Saturday, World Interim Super Featherweight WBA Champion Chris “Primetime” Colbert was annoyed by Hector “El Droide” ” Garcia placed 5th in the Main Event.
Defending 10th time IBF World Super Flyweight Champion Jerwin “Pretty Boy”, Andajas let down Fernando “Pumita” Daniel Martinez in 12 rounds.
WBA Interim Super Feather and 1st ranked Chris “Primetime” Colbert, 16-1 (6), #128 ¾, of Brooklyn, NY, lost a decisive defeat to 5th WBA Men’s 5th Olympian Hector Hector “El” Droide” Luis. Garcia, 15-0-3nc (10), #129 ½, of San Juan de la Maguana, DR, over 12 innings.
In the first three innings, Garcia overtook Colbert. In the fourth round, Colbert came back better but wasn’t enough to steal the round from Garcia, who had left Colbert up against the wire most of the time.
In the fifth round, it was another good round from Garcia, who let Colbert pin the rope for the final thirty seconds. In the sixth round, Colbert was asked to stay off the rope and perform for half a lap before finishing with the rope giving Garcia another round.

In the seventh half point, Garcia touched his left chin, and knocked Colbert for an eight-point count by referee Kenny Bayles. He held on for the rest of the inning until the end.
In the eighth round, Garcia chased after Colbert, who had been left out but was still defeated when the “Garcia, Garcia” line began. In the ninth inning, Colbert tried to attack more but not enough to advance.
In the tenth inning, Colbert began to hold out most of the time as Garcia continued to give up. In the eleventh round, Garcia, with his arms at his sides, knocked Colbert down. With half a minute left, Garcia stopped in midair. Colbert is in survival mode.
In the twelfth and final inning, Colbert ran to stay alive while Garcia saluted the field!

IBF World Junior Bantamweight Champion Men Jerwin “Pretty Boy” Andajas, 33-2-2 (22), #114 ½, of Panabo City, PH, showed his displeasure at IBF ranked Olympian Fernando.” Pumita” Daniel Martinez, 14- 0 (8), #114 ½, of Bueno Aires, ARG, 12+ innings all action.
In the first round, Martinez knocked out the champion Andajas. In the second round, it was a body punch fight. In the third half it was all action with Martinez scoring well, but Andajas finished the round well leaving Martinez stunned. In the fourth inning, action continued with Martinez having his left eye amputated midway through a clash with the head.
In the fifth and sixth innings, the battle continued, with Martinez having the upper hand. In the seventh and eighth rounds, the toe showdown continued with the challenger pulling away from the champion, hurling more punches to the head.
In the 9th round, Martinez continued to attack mainly the champion’s head. After the round, referee Jack Reiss questioned the penalty that Andajas was taken. In the tenth round, Martinez increased his lead, where Andajas would need a knockout to keep his title.
In the eleventh round, both fighters had their moments, with challenger Martinez up front, finishing strong. In the 12th and final round, it was all action right before the bell with Martinez looking like the new champion while Ancajas wore worse towards the end of the game. This will be considered already there for “match of the year!”
The scorers are DeLuca 117-111, Sutherland and Weisfeld 118-110, so is this writer. Martinez dedicated the fight to his late father.
2016 Men’s Superlightweight Olympian Gary Antuanne Russell, 15-0 (15), 139 , of Capitol Heights, MD, stopped former WBC 7th WBC lightweight champion Viktor “The Iceman” Postal, 31-4 (12), # 140 ½, by Velyka Dymerka, Ukraine, at 2:31 of the 10th and final round.
In the first three innings, the whole of Russell moved forward, operating the Postal for the body. In the fourth half of the round, Postal delivered his best punch to date, a right punch to the chin that was deflected by a left chin punch from Russell.
In the fifth inning, it was the Post’s counter-game and at times the invader took what could have been his first inning. In the sixth inning, once again the Post Office seemed to have the upper hand. In the seventh and eighth laps, Russell encountered a second headwind while circling while the Post finished strong.
In the ninth round, Russell continued to work with the Postal Service. In the tenth and final round, Russell took the lead, landing well when suddenly, referee Mike Ortega stopped the game early.
This writer had it 88-83 after nine rounds in favor of Russell, as did one judge and the other two 89-82 and won the tenth round.
