Experts have voiced alarm about inadequate services for children with disabilities and the impact of armed conflict on vital services, both within Ukraine and more recently in the region.

Noting that thousands of children with disabilities have been sent back to their hometowns without first determining if the environment is safe, they warn that this behavior can put young people at risk, including cases of abuse and trafficking.

“We fully understand the rigors of war and the immediacy of the difficult choices that must be made. But this is not a situation that can be allowed indefinitely,” they boast.
