This Goa Chicken Curry is a combination of aromatic spices and coconut. Creamy, spicy and rich chicken curry is usually served with steamed rice. To make this chicken curry, you first need to marinate the chicken and make xacuti masala.

Chicken Xacuti: How To Make Goan Chicken Xacuti
Start by marinating the chicken with salt, turmeric, garlic ginger, coriander, and green peppers for 30 minutes.
Meanwhile, move on to preparing the mixture for this curry. You will need to heat the oil in a pan and saute the sliced onion, green pepper, garlic, and grated coconut. When the onions are crispy, remove the mixture. Dry roasted cinnamon, cardamom, anise, pepper, poppy seed, coriander seed, Kashmiri red pepper, star anise, cornflower, nutmeg and turmeric. Now, blend the onion-coconut mixture with the roasted spices to make a Xacuti mixture.
Next, heat the oil in a pan. Add the marinated chicken and the prepared Xacuti masala. Pour in the water and let the chicken cook in the gravy. Once the chicken is cooked through, the chicken xacuti sauce is ready!
