Cheryl Burke is coming with red board. In this EXCLUSIVE preview of the brand new episode of The conversation on the red tablethe DWTS champion outspoken about his past relationships. Jada Pinkett Smith Ask Cheryl if she’s ever faced with why she might be in relationships with abusive men.
“For me, love equals abuse. Love equals infidelity. Cheryl admits love equals manipulative and narcissistic behavior. “I’m just not attracted to a nice guy.”
She continued, “I will never forget my first competitive dance partner. So sweet. I am utterly disgusted by his sweetness. I am only attracted to chauvinist men.”
Famous psychologist Dr. Alfiee Breland-Noble told Cheryl that what she’s “attractive to is what feels familiar.” Jada wonders if most people are looking for healing relationships. “It feels like home,” says Cheryl.
In one trailer for the episodeCheryl revealed that she had to deal with domestic violence for the first time. “Not so graphic, but in high school – I’ll never forget, the person I was with for four years hit me with a belt,” she said in the preview. “And I got bruises all over my leg.”
She added, “I remember his parents watched it, didn’t do anything. And it’s not like he hit me, he hit me. “
In the November 2 episode, Dancing with the stars expert reveals what devastating ways past heartbreaks have affected her relationships, opens up about her recent divorce and why four years of peace her “isn’t easy right now.” Cheryl and ex-husband Matthew Lawrence detached in January 2022 after nearly 3 years of marriage. Their divorce to be completed in September 2022.
Dr Breland-Noble also revealed the surprising ways our childhood experiences affect our adult relationships.
