The creative couple’s new series premiered on January 16 and introduced Chelsea Design Master and Cole handy to take on their wedding planner remodeling project. The HGTV show comes after the couple decided to leave Young mother in 2020 after almost 10 years. “It’s a process,” admitted Chelsea in an EXCLUSIVE interview on HollywoodLife Podcast, about the decision to bring the family back to television. “There was no reason for us to leave Young mother where we thought we’d never go back to TV again, because we enjoyed the whole process, just the situation just didn’t fit.
“This is so different. It’s focused on our business, not into the personal lives of the kids, which is a huge thing for us,” the mother-of-four said. “HGTV has been amazing the whole time. They made it clear that they wanted us to feel comfortable and we felt like there was a lot of open communication.”
Cole, who got married to Chelsea in 2016, added, “There was a lot of support and it was all positive. It’s just uplifting and fun to shoot. Chelsea went on to explain that their decision to leave Young mother mainly because her daughter Aubree, 13, is growing up and the protective mother no longer wants their personal lives exposed in such a way.

The 31-year-old told HL on the podcast: “That’s definitely where it eventually gets tougher. “This just feels so refreshing and we don’t feel guilty about anything that will be on int.
She goes on to explain how their kids love helping them with their home improvement projects on Down at Fab’s house! She said: “Aubree definitely has her own style and we try to appeal to the kids as much as we can. “Watson, 7 years old, loves to help Cole with tools and furniture and so does Layne, 4 years old, she is very enthusiastic! It’s fun to have this when the kids are growing up because it’s fun for them all to get into the family business and see what interests them.”

Chelsea describes its interior design style as “luxurious South Dakota”, and reveals that they rely heavily on local businesses for their work. “Our personal style is a mix of rustic with more modern pieces. I like the feeling of a motel… I want to feel cozy and warm. I don’t want to walk into a house and always feel like you can’t plod down on the couch,” she explains, adding that the local community in South Dakota has rallied to help the couple. Double get products for projects. “We really don’t have big furniture stores like Pottery Barn or the like around here. So the completion of these homes, the amount of inventory there is limited, but we have a lot of local businesses that have really helped us out a lot and it’s great to see the community come together. do that.”
