Chelsea football manager Thomas Tuchel has insisted he has “no bad feelings” for Tottenham manager Antonio Conte after both were shown red cards for heated exchanges on the pitch.

The two bosses have clashed twice, first on the touchline, then on the pitch when the final whistle blew, in the highly-rated London derby at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.

Chelsea took the lead, but Spurs’ Piere-Emile Hojbjerg controversial equalizer led to tension and temper spilling over.

Blues coach Tuchel reunited with Peter Bankes for a fourth official as it was clear Hojbjerg’s effort would be worth it.

Former Chelsea manager Conte rushed in – and the pair briefly bumped into each other, as members from both benches cornered into a messy melee.

Tuchel, assistant Zsolt Low and Conte were all booked, but after all the fuss, the goal was awarded.

Then, after Reece James gave Chelsea the lead in the 77th minute, Tuchel began to sprint past Conte and down the touchline, fists clenched in glee.

But it doesn’t end there.

At the final whistle – after the tense game ended in a 2-2 draw thanks to Harry Kane’s extra-time goal for Spurs – the players met on the pitch for the customary handshake … and Another scuffle ensued, resulting in a second goal and a red card for both.

“I think when we shake hands, you guys look each other in the eye, but Antonio has a different opinion,” Tuchel said of the post-match clash with Conte.

“He was happy when they equalized, and it got a little heated, but no big deal… I think it’s unnecessary, but a lot of it isn’t necessary.

“It’s something for nothing. I don’t have a bad feeling,” he told Sky News Radio.

Conte puts emotion down to passion.

“I think it doesn’t matter, this doesn’t matter,” he said.

“It can happen when passion is high on both sides.”

He said he would “pay more attention” the next time he shook hands with his German counterpart.

“I’ll be on my bench, he’ll be on my bench. There’s no problem with this,” he added.

Social media enjoyed the two ‘tete-à-tête’ managers.

Spurs striker and England star Harry Kane described the encounter as “spicy” on his Twitter feed.

Both managers are currently facing one-match touchdown bans.
