Chase Stokes is a super supportive boyfriend! The 30-year-old actor looked like he was exploding while singing along with his girlfriend Ballerina Kelsea, 29, when she performed at CMT . Award on Sunday, April 2. Chase was spotted dancing and saying the words to her hit song “If You Go Down (I Also Go Down)” from the crowd, and he looked over the moon after they did red carpet debut.

Throughout the entire clip, the actor smiles brightly as he performs a few dance moves from the crowd. Besides dancing and singing along, Chase turned around when one of his friends standing behind took a video of him enjoying his girlfriend’s performance. He also appeared to be filming part of the show on his phone.

Earlier in the evening, Chase and Kelsea walked the red carpet together. Chase accentuated the dark blue look with a button-down short-sleeve shirt and matching pants over a white bra. For her performance, Kelsea was joined by four drag queens, all dressed in colorful outfits for the performance, which appeared to be protesting the founders’ efforts. Tennessee law in passing a bill that would make drag shows illegal. The Nashville singer has repeatedly spoken out against the state’s push to ban drag shows, and her performance of “If You Go Down” was a great way to get her message across.

During the awards ceremony, Kelsea took the opportunity to speak out, demand action for stronger gun safety laws, and honor Covenant rifle shooting victim in Nashville. on her Instagram Story, she called it “the most important thing I’m going to do tonight,” while calling her performance “the other most important thing I’m going to do tonight.”

Kelsea has been nominated for both Female Video of the Year and is on the longlist for Video of the Year for her song “Heartfirst”. Unfortunately, she didn’t win both awards. Based on the video Chase watched her performance, he was clearly thrilled to see her perform and used her platform to spread a great message.
