Chargers’ Staley questions lost use of Herbert
Justin Herbert showed his devotion to the team and his profession on Sunday when he stayed in the Week 3 game against the Jacksonville Jaguars despite injury. But questions quickly arose as to whether letting him stay on the pitch for so long was the right call.
Quadrant start charger is amazing activity for Sunday’s game although he is still dealing with a rib injury he sustained against the Chiefs in Week 2. He then stayed in the game as Trevor Lawrence and the away team’s Jaguars continued to score, prompting many to criticize head coach Brandon Staley for not standing up and insisting he remove Herbert from the game for health reasons.
