Mari Shimazaki: “Happy 15th anniversary of Bayonetta and 2nd anniversary of Bayonetta 3! Sorry, this is a WIP drawing, I drew it in the middle of work. I wanted to create a beautiful and soft picture, but first when I learned that, the contrast became too great.” I want to use the symbolic colors red, blue, purple of 1, 2 and 3. I don’t have enough time so I will finish it before the 15th anniversary.”
Series creator Hideki Kamiya left PlatinumGames last year after its release Bayonetta’s Origin: Cereza and the Lost Demon. His previous comments in November 2024 suggested he would take “his Bayonetta vision to the grave” but thinks the franchise will continue without him.
Earlier this year in August, Bayonetta’s original Japanese vocalist Atsuko Tanaka passed away.
