Celebrity Juice is coming to an end after 14 years on the air.

The comedy show on ITV2 – hosted by Keith Lemon since its debut in 2008 – is coming to an end with two special episodes in late 2022.

Leigh Francis – who heads the show as prolific Keith – tweeted: ‘After 14 years, 26 series, 300 eps @CelebJuice will wrap up later this year with two special farewell events.

‘Thanks so much to everyone who watched, captains, guests, crew and itv2. ‘It was the funniest party that lasted the longest! I had a wonderful time. Big love x (sic) ‘

The announcement was shared along with a video that compiles classic moments from the show to the classic song ‘Time to Say Goodbye’.

The show first aired in 2008 with Fearne Cotton and Holly Willoughby appearing as team captains, with Fearne relinquishing her role after ten years in 2018.

She was replaced by Paddy McGuinness, and Mel B later took his place.

In 2020, Holly decided to step down after 12 years, while the current captains are The Inbetwearies star Emily Atack and Love Island host Laura Whitmore.

Last March Maya Jama joined as a regular board member along with captains Emily and Laura.

While the show initially focuses on the week’s tabloid stories, it will grow as celebrity guests are put through a variety of top games and challenges.

ITV has yet to confirm the details of the final two episodes – including potential lineups – but fans have expressed disappointment that the show is coming to an end.

One fan wrote: ‘One of the few shows that ever made me laugh and couldn’t breathe! Thanks for the great memories!! (sic) ‘

Another said: ‘I completely gutted this is ending. But what it was was a great run, Will definitely miss that on Thursday night after the last 2 specials aired’.

And another fan tweeted: ‘What a flashy but brilliant performance, I’ve seen stuff on it that I never thought I’d do! How the team came up with some ideas is beyond me. Thanks for the laughs. x(sic)’.

In March, Leigh revealed his Channel 4 show The Fantastical Factory Of Curious Craft had been canceled after a series of episodes because it’s so expensive.’

The show, which airs in 2020, sees budding crafters go head-to-head in an attempt to impress ‘factory boss’ Leigh, 48, and win celebrity commissions with their speculative creations.

Speaking in an Instagram Q&A, the Celebrity Juice legend, who co-hosts the quirky show with Naked Attraction’s Anna Richardson, revealed: ‘No, it’s not coming back. I really would love to do it but I think it’s too expensive. ‘

Leeds-born Leigh is known for creating Channel 4’s Bo’ Selecta! and has also entered the film industry.

His 2012 feature film debut, Keith Lemon: The Film, stars Kelly Brook and David Hasselhoff.

Leigh has an extra alter ego, Avid Merrion, the main character in Bo’ Selecta! The show lasted for five series, airing from 2002 to 2006.
