A year after the Pacers acquired Caris LeVert in a transaction with the Brooklyn Nets, Indiana is sending security guards to the Cleveland Cavaliers, by Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.
According to reports, the transaction will take Ricky Rubio to the Pacers, along with a 2022 lottery-protected first-round pick and two second-round picks. Rubio tore his ACL at the end of the season in December and plans to become a free agent during the season, so Indiana will inherit the rest of his contract even though he will likely never play for the Pacers. .
LeVert, 27, has averaged 18.7 points, 4.4 assists and 3.8 rebounds so far in the 2021-22 season.
