I love cauliflower. In my opinion, it is a very underrated vegetable. It’s versatile, can be made into so many things (soup! main dish! side dish!), plus, it’s nutrient-dense and high in fiber.

How to make cauliflower using an air fryer

Prepare the top of the cauliflower by cutting off the bottom stem along with any remaining leaves. Then cut them into bite-sized flowers.

In a small bowl, toss the cauliflower in the oil, seasonings, salt, and pepper.

Air fry at 390°F for 15 minutes. After half the time (7 or 8 minutes is fine), pause the air fryer and toss the basket thoroughly to spread the cauliflower pieces around.

Serve warm with a main dishes. If you have any fresh herbs like chives or parsley, you can sprinkle a few tablespoons on top, but this is optional.

  • It’s best not to overcook the air fryer if possible. A medium to small head of cauliflower will fit in most air fryer baskets. I have one air fryer with two baskets so I can fry two heads of cauliflower in the air at the same time.
  • If cayenne pepper isn’t your thing or you want to make it less spicy (slightly hot), you can trade it in for paprika or another spice you like.
  • Toss some shredded Parmesan cheese on top of this as soon as it comes out of the air fryer and is still hot. It’s so good!
