Strengthen brand strategy

Stuttgart, September 28, 2021 Going forward, Breuninger will focus its brand expertise even more strongly. As Chief Brand Officer (CBO), Carsten Hendrich will be responsible for Breuninger’s brand strategy beginning October 18, 2021. He reports directly to Breuninger CEO Holger Blecker.

To advance marketing issues in terms of brand strategy, creative content, emotional branding, digital and cross-channel brand marketing, Breuninger plans to more effectively combine the brand divisions. Its brands include Marketing, Visual Merchandising, Events, Lifestyle PR and Social Media. Brands will also be strengthened in another way: From now on, all brand development will be managed by the newly created Chief Brand Officer. To fulfill this mission, Breuninger is welcoming an experienced brand strategist: Carsten Hendrich will join the fashion and lifestyle company on October 18, 2021.

Carsten Hendrich has many years of experience in agency, in-store and digital retail as well as managing international luxury brands. For example, he was Zalando’s Vice President of Brand Marketing for many years and also worked with Bogner. Most recently, the 47-year-old moved from A. Lange & Söhne to the KaDeWe team, where he manages the Brand Strategy, Marketing and Communications departments. With his new role at Breuninger, Hendrich is also returning home in a sense: From 2009 to 2012, the Berlin resident worked as Marketing Manager for the fashion and lifestyle company Breuninger.
